Best things about home: Helmsdale is a small, traditional Highland fishing village with many local amenities. The renowned famous salmon-river runs at the back of the house, and there is ample opportunity for fishing, stalking, walking, sailing, and other outdoor activities. Helmsdale is only 70 miles north of Inverness, and benefits from regular train and buses both north and south.

The scenery here is stunning, and the area benefits from the mild micro-climate of the Moray Firth - Sea Eagles, Golden Eagles, falcons, seals, numerous sea-birds, deer are easily seen here - even the occasional basking shark or Orca whale!

THere is a 9-hole golf course within the village, and futher course include Royal Dornoch, Brora and Golspie.

Helmsdale is a very friendly village, with plenty of activities, clubs, events through-out the year.
