Brassington Hall is a very special family home and has been listed Grade II in recognition of its architectural and historicalimport ance. The Hall is attractively presented and offers beautifully proportioned accommodation, with an excellent flow of rooms, most of which are south facing with views over open countryside. It is offered to the open market for the first time in 50 years.
The Hall dates from the 1600`s but was substantially remodelled in the 1800's. It is of course limestone rubble with quoins and gritstone dressings. It has flush mullion windows, and with the exception of the centre rear and the gables facing the rear of the Hall, is under a tiled roof with fishscale banding. The central elevation has a single storey projection with a fascinating porch with three rounded finials which appears to date from before the 1600's. The central section is flanked by two handsome projecting gables. The accommodation is set out over two floors, but the large attics would appear to offer good scope to create additional accommodation. The property is supported by good integrated domestic outbuildings providing garaging, a workshop and storage.
Brassington Hall stands in delightful gardens and grounds with useful paddocks that ensure that both privacy and the wonderful views are preserved. In all, the property extends to just under 5 acres, with the south paddock forming about 3.22 acres of the whole.

From the porch, the principal door opens into an attractive reception hall with a lovely Minton tile floor and a staircase with turned spindles and plain mahogany handrail. Off this hall is a lovely morning room with an attractive Victorian style marble chimney piece and lovely plaster mouldings.

There is also a second detached garage. The ground floor is complete with a recently renovated cloakroom with heated floor and a study.
There are five good bedrooms on the first floor with four having views to the south, three of which have built-in wardrobes. Gardens and grounds
From Well Street, two drives lead up to The Hall, with the easterly drive leading to a generous parking and turning area and the garages, and with the second drive leading up to the house and a deep gravelled terrace offering wonderful views to the south. This terrace has a lovely island with stone slabs and clipped box forming an attractive circular display. The garden principally extends from the south side of the house with a well-maintained lawn set below the terrace and with the change in levels managed with a low stone wall, steps and attractive planting. The gardens show a carefully considered display of mature trees and choice shrubs, conifers and herbaceous perennials within different areas of the garden contained by mature hedges to give privacy. Of particular note is a mighty copper beech tree. A path leads round the south garden and there is also a small jitty which ensures that the two attractive Sycamore trees nearby are also on The Hall land.
To the north of the house there is a small kitchen garden and a useful paddock extending to about 0.88 acres which is designated as an important open space which has mature trees and shrubs around much of the boundary to give privacy to the rear. To the south of the house, and on the opposite side of Well Street, is a field extending to about 3.22 acres.
