  • Hi uzzie79, When it comes to investing, it really depends on what you are looking for from your potential returns for the best places to splash the cash. For example, a new Knight Frank report has found that properties in London are among the most sought after in the world for investors purely because of the fact that the prices are among the quickest rising globally, and it does so at a steady rate. For homes with high prices, where you might have to wait a long time for a return, you might look to places in the south-east of the country. The initial outlay will be larger, but these are likely to be strong performers for years to come, with prices likely to rise faster. Areas where you can get a house for cheaper can sometimes be the best places to look for investment though. If you are going to be renting it out, for example, prices to buy in the north-west are still comparatively low, while the rental rates are rising at a higher rate than anywhere else in the UK at the moment in this region. Many thanks, Scott
