How much shall I offer on a flat on market at £149950?

  • All depends on how much others have gone for in the road, If the last three sales were all around £125,000 then maybe the owner of the one you’re looking at is asking too much. As a basic rule generally offer about 10% below the asking price and see how it goes.

  • I agree with above. But if you really want the property and it isn't overpriced in comparison to other properties which have sold in the area, then it is worth what you can afford. Starting at 10% below isn't too cheeky, often people are willing to meet half way. Good luck.

  • I think it's always best to offer around 5 - 10% lower than the asking price.
