Best cheap area to buy a house in Nottingham?

Hi. I'm looking to buy a house in Nottingham, mainly as an investment. Does anyone know which areas are best in terms of development, house prices increasing, good future investment in property etc. I'm looking at the following places: Sneinton, Lenton, Sherwood, Beeston. I've noticed a lot of recently renovated houses in Sneinton: people buying run down houses, doing them up, then selling them on. Is this a sign that people are investing in Sneinton as a potential up-and-coming area? Thanks!

  • Hello Paul, It would really depend on your budget but there are opportunities all over Nottingham. A good plan is to reverse engineer the buying, refurbishment and resale costs with a potential purchase price - and make sure you have a sufficient margin in place. In terms of areas specifically, if you Google "Property Wizza 2.0", "Property Detective", "Street Check", "Find a Hood" and "UK Local Area" you should find some useful information. Thanks, Ruban
